Detached two-storey corner structure located in the corral of Roodeweg 44. Gable roofs over core area and front gallery, adjoining slant roof over rear gallery. Three dormers on front and rear sides of main roofs, roof chimney at rear gallery. Funnel-shaped gables with 19th century top ends and semicircular oculus in radiating moulding. Profiled cornice over front and side façades. Façades laid out in vertical axes. Front balcony supported by columns placed over full-frontage short terrace with steps.
Architectural historical and cultural historical value because of the floor plan with core, front and gallery typical of Curaçao. Architectural historical value because of a.o. the façade lay-out in axes, the dormers, mouldings and 19th century funnel- shaped gables. Cultural historical value as part of one of the few existing examples of the old corral-structure in Otrobanda. Specific value as part of a protected monumental townscape.
