Former ‘Club De Gezelligheid’. Large detached structure with ridge parallel to street. Main two-storey section with one-storey east and west additions and ditto rear wings on both sides of a patio. Patio closed with three arches supported by columns. Main section: gable roof over core area, slant roofs over adjoining front and rear galleries. Funnel-shaped gables with shoulders and 19th century top ends. Cornice and horizontal bands over façades, pilasters on corners. Portico added during restoration of 1970.
Architectural historical and cultural historical value because of a.o. the floor plan with core, front and rear gallery typical of Curaçao and rear wings on both sides of a patio typical of Scharloo. Specific value as part of a protected monumental townscape.
