Name of property:
Fort and three batteries of 18th century defense chain.
- Fort Knip: six embrasures and ruin of guardhouse with two rooms.
- Remnants of battery on the south side of Kleine Knip consisting of walls and plaster.
- Battery on north side of Kleine Knip consisting of raised square of thick sloping walls filled with earth. Walls have disappeared on two sides.
- Remnants of walls and plaster of battery on the north side of Groot Knip. Floor parts with large stones and artillery stone.
Scientific value as a representative 18th century defense complex; cultural-historical value as part of a chain of defense works and due to the events that took place in the fort during the slave revolt in 1795.
